About this treatment
GLP-1/GIP receptor agonists work by suppressing appetite, slowing gastric emptying, and improving insulin sensitivity. Clinical trials have shown significant weight loss in patients with obesity or overweight with a related condition. Kaya delivers compounded GLP-1 therapy from a licensed U.S. compounding pharmacy after physician review, with at-home labs at baseline and at 3 and 6 months.

Common questions
What medication is prescribed?
The specific compounded GLP-1 medication is determined by your physician based on your health profile and lab results. The physician selects the formulation and dose appropriate for you — not all patients receive the same medication.
Who is eligible?
Generally: BMI ≥30, or BMI ≥27 with a weight-related condition (hypertension, prediabetes, etc.). Contraindications include personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2, and history of pancreatitis. Your physician makes the final determination.
What side effects should I expect?
Common: nausea, diarrhea, constipation, decreased appetite — especially when starting or increasing dose. Usually improves within a few weeks. Rare but serious: pancreatitis, gallbladder disease. Contact us immediately if you experience severe abdominal pain.
How much weight loss can I expect?
Clinical trials showed average weight loss of 15–20% of body weight over 72 weeks at full dose. Results vary. This is not a guarantee. Diet and lifestyle changes significantly improve outcomes.
