How long until I see results?
Most patients experience a "purge" period of 4–6 weeks where skin may appear worse before it improves. Significant improvement in texture and fine lines is typically visible at 3–6 months. Continued improvement up to 12 months.
Can I use this while pregnant?
No. Tretinoin is contraindicated during pregnancy due to risk of fetal harm. If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, you are not a candidate.
How do I start without burning my skin?
Start every other night, apply a pea-sized amount to dry skin 20–30 minutes after washing, and use a gentle moisturizer. Sun protection is essential — tretinoin increases photosensitivity.
Why compounded instead of over-the-counter retinol?
Tretinoin is approximately 20x more potent than equivalent concentrations of retinol because it acts directly on retinoic acid receptors without conversion. Over-the-counter retinol products are effective but slower.
